Chapin Discuss the Making of Follies Oct. 2; "Everything Was Possible" On Shelves Sept. 30

Ted Chapin, whose account of the creation of the Stephen Sondheim-James Goldman-Harold Prince musical, Follies, is about to be released, will talk about the making of that historic show, 6-7 PM Oct. 2 at The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts at Lincoln Center.

Chapin, now the president of The Rodgers & Hammerstein Organization, will discuss the book, "Everything Was Possible: The Birth of the Musical Follies," and his connection to the musical. In 1971, as a college student, Chapin was a production assistant — or "gofer" — to the creative team. Knopf releases the book Sept. 30.

Chapin's talk is at the Bruno Walter Auditorium, 40 Lincoln Center Plaza. The presentation is free and open to the public on a first-come, first-served basis. For further information call (212) 642-0142.
