New York City's famous Town Hall played host to the 2004 Nightlife Awards, honoring the best in New York cabaret, jazz and comedy, on Jan. 12.

As usual, the event was crammed with a star-studded line-up of presenters and performers, including Christine Andreas, David Brown, Helen Gurley Brown, Lea DeLaria, Sandy Duncan, Tovah Felshuh, Tammy Grimes, Jackie Hoffman, Ute Lemper, Seth Rudesky, John Selya, Brian Murray, Douglas Sills, Rue McLanahan, Judy Gold, Paula West, Greg Giralda and Maureen McGoverrn. The event was hosted by Cabaret star Andrea Marcovicci.

At left, comedian Alan King entertains the crowd and Betty Buckley, who received the Legend of Cabaret Award, showed the audience why she deserved the honor. Below, director Robert Altman presents an award.
