Amour’s Legrand Joins Bergman & Austin at Feinstein’s, April 1-12

Michel Legrand, who composed the score for this season’s short-lived musical Amour, will join lyricist Alan Bergman and singer Patti Austin for a “Singers & Songwriters” series at Feinstein’s at the Regency next month.
Grammy-nominated artist Patti Austin will interpret the works of Legrand and Bergman at the posh nightclub, April 1-12. Both the composer and the lyricist will be on hand at Feinstein’s, which will continue its “Singers & Songwriters” series with Melissa Manchester and Paul Williams from April 15-26.
Michel Legrand is the recipient of three Academy Awards and five Grammy Awards. His songs include “What Are You Doing the Rest of Your Life?,” “The Windmills of Your Mind,” “How Do You Keep the Music Playing?” and “Papa, Can You Hear Me?” With wife Marilyn, lyricist Alan Bergman has written the lyrics for such megahits as “It Might Be You” and the Academy Award-winning “The Way We Were.” Patti Austin recorded the #1 record “Baby Come to Me” with singer James Ingram. Her performance of “Shirley Valentine”’s “The Girl Who Used to Be Me” won the singer nominations for a Golden Globe, a Grammy and an Oscar.
Feinstein’s at the Regency is located in Manhattan at 540 Park Avenue at 61st Street. “Singers & Songwriters” will play Tuesday through Saturday evenings at 8:30 PM with late shows on Fridays and Saturdays at 11 PM.
