Rutherford, Bishop & Almedilla Head Les Miz At LA's Ahmanson Dec. 12-Feb. 12

LOS ANGELES -- Dec. 8 brings the Los Angeles return of Les Miserables, the musical by Alain Boublil and Claude-Michel Schonberg which plays a 10-week limited engagement at the Ahmanson Theatre, Dec. 8-Feb. 12, 2000. The official opening is Dec. 12.

LOS ANGELES -- Dec. 8 brings the Los Angeles return of Les Miserables, the musical by Alain Boublil and Claude-Michel Schonberg which plays a 10-week limited engagement at the Ahmanson Theatre, Dec. 8-Feb. 12, 2000. The official opening is Dec. 12.

Ivan Rutherford heads the cast as the fugitive Jean Valjean, with Stephen Bishop as Inspector Javen and Joan Almedilla as Fantine. Also featured are Sutton Foster, Tim Howard, Regan Thiel, Kevin Earley, J.P. Dougherty and Aymee Garcia, among others.

Les Miserables is currently in its 13th year on Broadway. The show, which began touring the U.S. in Dec. 1987, has been seen by over 40 million people worldwide.

Rutherford performed the role of Valjean on Broadway in the 10th anniversary production of the musical. He also was seen in the role of Officer Charles Lightoller in the Broadway company of Titanic.
