Musical Theater Scene Study Class in NYC
with
Casting Director/ Director: Jamibeth Margolis, CSA
and
Musical Director: Bryan Wade
Jamibeth is bringing back her most popular class again. This is the last class of 2009. Don't miss out!
In this musical theater scene study class you will be assigned a scene partner and a scene from a musical that you are right for. You will fully explore your character and work on a scene going into a song.
NOTE: This class will culminate in a final presentation with a major musical theater agent present.
Jamibeth has been casting in NYC for more than 14 years. She runs her own casting office and also works as a stage director. She previously served as casting director for many of Broadway's longest running shows such as Cats, Les Miserables, Miss Saigon and more. Jamibeth is currently casting many readings, workshops, and recordings of new musicals and plays, regional theater, and more including the new musical drama, Warsaw, which is currently being developed for a commercial run. Also currently casting: The Green Room (NYC), Get Got (NYC), 1812 (NYC), and various festival musicals around NYC. She is currently serving as Artistic Director For Musicals and Casting Director for the Midtown International Theatre Festival. Recent directing projects: Warsaw (NYMF, Safra Hall, and Stockton PAC) Jekyll and Hyde and Do I Hear A Waltz (Arvada Center in Denver), Caine Mutiny Court Martial (Assistant Director For Recent Broadway Revival), and many new works and operas. Upcoming: Pirates of Penzance at Boheme Opera.
Bryan Wade has been musical director for over twenty productions in regional venues along the East Coast, including John Engeman Theater (NY), Hampton Playhouse (NH), Mill Mountain (VA), Coconut Grove (FL) and Spoleto Festival (Charleston, SC). Active in New York City as a vocal coach and pianist, he has also served on the faculties of The American Musical and Dramatic Academy and for Marymount Manhattan College (She Loves Me, Ragtime). He has vocal directed entertainment productions for both Norwegian and Royal Caribbean Cruise lines. Most recently he served as Associate Conductor for the first national tour of Whistle Down the Wind.
This class is designed to prepare you for the many auditions where you will be asked to prepare sides and a song. It will expand your repertoire. You will receive valuable coaching tips and suggestions. This is a class not to be missed! Class size is limited to 12 students.

Class 2: Tuesday, December 1
Class 3: Tuesday, December 8
Class 4: Tuesday, December 15
All Classes Are From 7pm-10pm
