|
Babes in Toyland, Victor Herbert's classic operetta (featuring "March of the Toys," and "Toyland") receives an update with book and lyrics by Craig Shemin. Presented by The Little Orchestra Society as part of its Happy Concerts for Young People series for children ages 6 to 12, the piece will be performed at Lincoln Center's Avery Fisher Hall and at the Tilles Center in Greenvale, Long Island, accompanied by a full orchestra.

Please note: This is a NON-EQUITY production.
Seeking— A strong bass/baritone who can dance well to portray a toy football player in a toyshop.
Rehearsals in Manhattan from November 19-24; Nov. 29-Dec 4, and Dec. 17-18. Performances on December 5 at the Tilles Center and December 19 at Avery Fisher Hall. Performers will receive an honorarium for the project.
The Little Orchestra Society/Orpheon Inc. is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and is committed to multi-cultural casting.

When: Vocal auditions will be held by appointment only Monday, November 9 from 1pm-3pm. To request an appointment, please submit your headshot and resume to BabesSubmissions@gmail.com. A dance callback will be held the morning of Tuesday, November 10, or Wednesday, November 11.
Where: Location and other details will be included in the confirmation email once you have booked an audition.
Notes/What to bring: Please be prepared to sing 16 bars, opera, operetta or traditional musical theatre repertory preferred. Please bring two (2) copies of your headshot and resume for the production team.
