New Vaudeville Theater at Actors Movement Conservatory NYC
A nationally acclaimed acting school in the Heart of the theater district, with over thirty years of training professional actors and conservatory trained actors, specializing in physical theater training, is seeking hardworking, versatile, reliable interns,for late Fall/Winter the Spring/Summer terms Internships are aimed at college seniors, recent graduates, and graduate students. This is a semester long non-paid internship with a commitment of 15 hours per week. Come and be a part of the Midtown Theater conservatory and New York Independent Theater scene.

Administrative intern
Seeking college-age and early career applicants who are detail oriented, with excellent interpersonal, organization, and writing skills. The ideal candidate will have interest and experience in theatrical production, administrative experience, office organization skills, excellent communication and writing skills, Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint, familiarity with both Mac and PC,Knowledge of general computer troubleshooting is a plus.Responsibilities will include a variety of daily administrative tasks, such as filing/phone/mail, organize and manage studio staff, maintenance and studio rentals etc. Interns will also have the opportunity to create/complete various special assignments and projects. This internship is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to learn more about Arts Education, theatre producing or plans to pursue a career in theatre.
Arts Education Management Intern
Seeking college-age and early career applicants who are detail oriented, with excellent interpersonal, organization, and writing skills. Intern will be involved in every aspect of Educational Programming and development and will share responsibility for management of daily operations and Admissions. Duties will include curriculum development, office management and administration, creating, scheduling and implementing courses, seminars and other studio events; managing full and part time intern staff; facilitating and maintaining studio day to day operations, outreach and communications; scheduling and management of intensives, classes and workshops, managing and coordination of registration, student records, marketing and customer service. PC literate in –Access, File maker, PowerPoint, Excel and Word and Access (a Plus)This internship is recommended for people with a desire to gain experience arts educational programming and facility management of Theater School and Conservatory.
NEW PLAY DEVELOPMENT INTERNS
The New Vaudeville Theater -An exciting new play development workshop provides space, time, and support for projects ready to move beyond a staged reading, but that require further development and exploration prior to full production. Interns will assist in pre-workshop tasks, including marketing, fundraising, casting and PR. They will also be integrated into the workshop process as a production/directing assistant. Interested candidates should have a passion for new play development and an interest in the field of literary management. Time commitment will be 15 hours/week with a slight increase during the actual workshop periods.
Marketing/ Design Internship
Duties include general web upkeep (knowledge of Dreamweaver and basic html), press release assistance, ad placement and design assistance, monitor online ad campaigns and web traffic, possible personal assistance to high profile guests, photography, general press, PR, and marketing assistance, new merchandising design assistance, and other duties as assigned. This position will work closely with both our Artistic Director and Program Director and will be tailored to the applicant’s strengths and abilities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills a must. Additional Website Design and Online Trafficking experience a plus. Please list all design programs you have both basic knowledge and fluent efficiency with.
Interns are expected to commit to 10 to 20 hours per week (flexible hours). for Full or part time internships. College credit is available (depending on your school).

Internship Applicant must provide own housing arrangements in or near NYC. Our office, studio and Theater are located in midtown Manhattan.
