Le Rêve, the show at Wynn Las Vegas is seeking a Carpenter who will perform functions and duties as assigned to assist the carpentry and props team in establishing and maintaining the safe and consistent operations of all production scenic and property elements and onstage acrobatic equipment for each performance. Install, assemble, maintain and repair all scenic elements. Perform carpentry/props cue tracks for training, rehearsals, performances and special events. Assist with the upkeep of onstage and backstage areas. Assist with inspections, maintenance schedules and procedures. Perform all other duties as assigned.
Candidate must have a minimum of three (3) years experience working as a stage carpenter for large-scale theatrical or concert productions. Minimum of three (3) years experience in stage carpentry and conventional theatrical rigging. Experience with construction and maintenance, modern theatrical scenery and equipment including steel, wood, plastics, paints, power tools, hand tools, dust control and chain motors. Ability to withstand exposure to chlorinated water and swim with a level of comfort. Ability to be SCUBA certified. Ability to learn or update lifesaving skills and to become CPR/First Responder trained. Knowledge of OSHA health and safety protocols is an asset. Ability, experience, and comfort in working at high elevations in a theatrical environment. Must possess problem solving skills and strong interpersonal skills with proven talents in safety and teamwork. Must possess good written and verbal communication skills. Willing to define, practice and conform to safe working procedures. Must be able to work evenings, weekends, holidays and overtime. Must be able to work around live birds, strobe lighting and smoke effects.
