Job Details
Title Seeking Directors for the Act Five: One Act
Category Technical
Description Open Call for Directors:
deadline: November 6, 2009.

The Queens Players present:

The 2010 Long Island City One Act Festival
Act Five:One Act

The Queens Players are currently looking for directors for their upcoming Act V One Act Festival, which opens the second week in January and will be performed in the QP's 50-seat theatre. Ideal candidates should be willing to work quickly and efficiently to put up a 10—20 minute piece and are able to direct in a minimal style to keep up with the QP's mission. This is a great opportunity for directors; past festival directors have directed Mainstage productions for the Queens Players.

The festival will feature approximately twelve (12) original pieces performed January 2010 for a week run. Audience favorites will be extended for a second week. The Queens Players are in the exciting process of opening a second larger space (seats 100). Rehearsal in the main space will be provided for all directors.

All candidates should forward resumes to Act5OneActs@gmail.com if interested. All resumes should be received by the Queens Players by no later than Friday, November 6 - Directors are encouraged to submit as soon as possible. Directors must be available for interviews during the first two weeks in November.

Thank you in advance for your interest and your continued support in making arts happen in Long Island City!
